At Amazon, we are committed to being the most customer-centric company on earth. The Amazon Pharmacy Program Management Team is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager. This person will work with and lead cross functional internal projects to support ongoing growth and improvements within our pharmacy. This person will work quickly and effectively and serve as the primary contact for internal relationships related to these efforts. This individual will be responsible for identifying, executing, and refining our partner programs and processes, focusing on program requirements gathering, program implementation and optimization. The Sr. Program Manager will use a strong understanding of Amazon Pharmacy capabilities, operations, and product offerings to provide guidance, direction and management internally and externally during the planning and implementation of a new Program. This individual will provide input and direction on ways to optimize a program and will help troubleshoot and solve blocking issues; as well as ensure the ongoing success of programs. The PM will work cross-functionally with members of the BD team, Program design, Strategic Operations, Account Management, Product Managers, and Engineering.

The ideal candidate will have a bias for action and be adept in program and/ or product management. They will ideally have deep experience in healthcare, understand the prescription journey, act as a problem solver, and a relationship builder that earns partner and stakeholder trust.


-PM certification
-Knowledge and experience in the healthcare, pharmacy, or medical products distribution.
-Ability to translate program and product designs into technical and operational requirements that will be translated into actionable items required to implement and successfully launch a program.
-Ability and/or experience managing a team.
-Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, evaluate outcomes, and challenge conventional industry practices.
-Success in building relationships and working across a range of teams.
-Possess a track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects.
-Entrepreneurial instincts with a clear bias for informed action and a track record of leading new initiatives with limited resources and support.
-Exhibits excellent, clear, and detail oriented written and verbal communications on highly complex topics. Adjusts and ‘translates’ concepts to a wide audience of stakeholders, both internal and external.
-Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.



  • Demonstrated ability to be a big picture thinker, strategist, and long term planner.
  • Demonstrated experience and success at leading cross functional programs and proven ability to influence and lead without direct management authority.
  • Outstanding speaking, writing, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to persuade, inspire, and motivate others.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Perl, Unix/Linux, Visual Basic or other programming languages.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across a multitude of platforms with remote team members, as well as stakeholders at multiple levels within the organization.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, maintain a strong attention to detail, and work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to design workable solutions and drive projects to successful implementation.
  • Can work effectively and drive change in loosely defined situations.
  • Committed to learning and expanding professional and technical knowledge.
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
